The Coromandel Gold Trail

Many travelers to New Zealand I met over the years found themselves a few day away from their flight out of NZ (or just arrived into Auckland’s airport and looking for a short relaxing three day itinerary.

Less then 1.5 hours from Auckland the Coromandel Peninsula offers some of New Zealand finest beaches true bush experience and historical gold mining sites and monuments.

Combine a short term campervan hire, a couple of beautiful waterfront camp sites and only three or more days and get the real New Zealand country experience.

The itinerary below will take you through a mixture of these and recommended for at least three days starting and ending Auckland City:
